The Peach State has approximately 4,000 miles of designated trout water. Our native Southern Appalachian Brook Trout is Georgia’s State Coldwater Game Fish. In addition to brook trout, Georgia is home to many wild rainbow and brown trout fisheries. The Chattahoochee River Tailwater, with its wild brown trout, is recognized by Trout Unlimited as one of America’s 100 Best Trout Streams.
